From her electric purple bouncing curls and cowboy boots to her sizzling backup dance crew, Salomes was more than a big hit at Honey’s Hivespot event last Wednesday. The appropriately named Animazing Gallery buzzed with music and media heads, notables and celeb Honeys like Olivia, and Jennifer Williams of Basketball Wives indulging in the festivities which included specialty cocktails courtesy Absolut Vodka, Honey branded cupcakes, pink candy coated sweets, and you guessed it – palm readers! Hosted by Honey fave and Power 105 radio personality Cherry Martinez, The Hivespot swarmed with lively folk and even livelier music courtesy Philadelphia-bred spinstress DJ Diamond Kuts. With an LP produced by the Beatmakers and a musical genre that can be best described as the perfect melange of dance, electro-pop, and club, guests anxiously awaited Salomes’ live and over-the-top performance as the young artist has been compared to pop divas like Kelis, Ke$ha and even Lady Gaga.
